This series was inspired by urban characters (beggars, madmen, prostitutes, street musicians) from the city of Lima, Peru. They constitute the first topic of interest in my body of work. It is an interest in the human and by portraying them I try to reclaim for these characters a certain lost dignity that has dehumanized them throughout a hard life.
